The city has gradually invested in building and perfecting facilities, organizing sports competitions to create many useful playgrounds, physical training, and improving the health of students.
Always paying attention to building the physical education and sports movement, Duc Tri Kindergarten-Primary-Middle School (Hai Chau District) organizes sports clubs in the school, and at the same time invests in building and completing facilities for physical education and sports activities.
Meritorious teacher Le Thi Nga, Principal of Duc Tri Kindergarten-Primary-Middle School, shared that with the desire to build a comprehensive educational environment, the school always focuses on developing physical education and sports and encouraging the movement "Healthy to work and study" in all classes.
Every year, the school organizes the Phu Dong Sports Festival. In 2023, the Sports Festival had the participation of 200 students in 5 competitions: football, basketball, badminton, swimming, chess and more than 1,000 athletes participating in tug of war and cross-country (nearly 1,00% students participated). Through the Phu Dong Sports Festival, the school selects, continues to train and practice students to participate in sports competitions at all levels.
The Department of Education and Training of Lien Chieu district always pays attention to and invests in facilities and equipment for teaching Physical Education. From the 2012-2013 school year up to now, the achievements of the Lien Chieu district Student Sports Team participating in the city's student sports competitions have been gradually recognized.
Mai Thai Phien, Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Training of Lien Chieu District, said that up to now, 16/21 primary and secondary schools in the district have built swimming pools; 6/21 schools have sports areas serving physical education and extracurricular activities for students and teachers. Artificial swimming pools and sports fields in schools attract a large number of students in the area to practice and compete.
In particular, every year, the Phu Dong Sports Festival and the district-level student sports tournament are held in rotation with 11 competitions, with more than 3,000 students participating. In the 2022-2023 school year, the Lien Chieu District Student Sports Delegation ranked 4th overall with 7 Gold medals, 7 Silver medals, and 19 Bronze medals.
The entire Education and Training sector of Da Nang has about 70 multi-purpose buildings, over 200 sports fields, and nearly 70 swimming pools. Some schools have gyms that can teach 5-6 favorite sports of students.
Mr. Nguyen Trong Thao, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Da Nang City, assessed that the sports movement in schools in the city has always been interested and focused on development.
