A long journey bringing warmth from Da Nang City to Nam Tra My by teachers of Duc Tri School ended with complete success in the program "Spring of Love 2023".

Da Nang, December 17, 2022.
At 4:30 a.m., the "Spring of Love" convoy began rolling, carrying gifts that Duc Tri teachers and students had enthusiastically prepared to a special mountainous district of Quang Nam province.
The cold winds signal the moment of transition from winter to spring. Everyone can feel the cold creeping into every street corner. And in remote mountainous districts, the cold seems to be even more severe. Understanding that, despite being busy with the preparation for the first semester final exams for students, teachers at Duc Tri School still arranged a trip earlier than expected, in order to bring warm clothes and thick blankets to students in the highlands.
At 10:30 a.m., the Duc Tri School volunteer group arrived at Nam Tra My High School in Village 2, Tra Mai Commune, Nam Tra My District, Quang Nam Province. The school has more than 500 students, most of whom are Ca Dong and Xe Dang ethnic minorities, many of whom are in extremely difficult circumstances. Sharing in the program, Mr. Bui Van Ly - Vice Principal of Nam Tra My High School said: “Most of the students at the school are ethnic minorities. When they come to school, they only bring their clothes, the rest of their living and eating utensils are provided by the school. They have to study and board at the school in conditions lacking everything. Therefore, the school often mobilizes from many places to ensure the maintenance of boarding for the students at the school.”
Due to difficult family conditions, rugged mountainous terrain, and limited transportation, the children cannot return home for weeks or months. Some of them have to walk for more than 3-4 hours to reach the school. Therefore, the school has to organize boarding for the children even though the school model is not a boarding school. Difficulties pile up on difficulties. The living, eating, and studying conditions of the children are also very limited. Visiting the boarding area of Nam Tra My High School students, the volunteer group felt more clearly the difficulties of the children in their journey to pursue education.
In the program "Spring of Love" in 2023, 500 warm coats and 500 warm blankets were presented by Duc Tri School on behalf of parents, students and teachers to students at Nam Tra My High School. That is the heart of teachers, parents and students of Duc Tri who joined hands to bring warmth and love to students in the highlands during this special transitional moment. Hope you have a warm winter at school, a spring of loving reunion.
Present at the trip, the teachers of Duc Tri School could not help but be moved by the sincere feelings of the students. Seeing the joy clearly shown on their faces, everyone eagerly trying on the new shirts, Duc Tri School felt more motivated to continue making more trips, not only in Nam Tra My but also in many other faraway places. It was the students who gave us a lot of joy and precious warmth to dispel the wind and cold in the mountainous district of Nam Tra My.
