On the occasion of the 108th anniversary of International Women's Day (March 8, 1910 - March 8, 2018), representatives of the Board of Directors and some outstanding students of Duc Tri Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary School visited and presented gifts to Ms. Pham Thi Huong at K340/3 Phan Chau Trinh, Hai Chau District, Da Nang City.

Ms. Pham Thi Huong, born in 1953, is a 2/4 disabled soldier, injured 75%. In 1966, when she was only 13 years old, she was a liaison of the commune. In 1967, she joined the Dien Nam commune guerrillas. In 1968, she joined the youth volunteer force and was injured in Go Noi, b.The bullet pierced her right thigh, severed her left leg, and she suffered a 75% disability. She is currently living with her son and grandson, but her circumstances are extremely difficult.

The first time they visited and heard her tell the story of her time participating in the revolution, teachers and students were deeply moved and admired her will, patriotism and revolutionary enthusiasm, even though she was only 14 years old at that time. They admired her even more when they saw her life in the present, despite the difficult circumstances, she is still optimistic, loves life, and tries to overcome difficulties to do useful things.

Saying goodbye to her with nostalgia, the teachers and students wished her good health, optimism and more love for life.

This is one of the meaningful activities, helping children understand more about the heroic revolutionary tradition, the patriotism, the life and fighting spirit of the indomitable Vietnamese women. Educating children to remember the source of water when drinking, to thank the grandmothers and mothers who have gone before and brought them the peaceful life today. Through that, they will love more the grandmothers, mothers, sisters, and dear friends who are beside them today.
