On October 2, 2023, teachers and students of Duc Tri School held the opening ceremony of the Phu Dong Sports Festival for the 2023-2024 school year in an exciting and enthusiastic atmosphere.
The opening ceremony was held in the welcome of all teachers, parents and students of the whole school. The ceremony was carried out carefully and seriously with the contents of the parade, torch relay, and oath reading. Also at the opening ceremony, Meritorious Teacher Le Thi Nga, the school principal, shared about the achievements that students have achieved over the years in sports competitions at the school, district, city and national levels. Accordingly, with the desire to build a comprehensive educational environment, Duc Tri School always focuses on developing the physical education and sports movement with the slogan "Healthy to study and work" in all classes.
Phu Dong Sports Festival is one of the annual activities of Duc Tri School. This year, the school recorded the participation of 200 students in 5 competitions including football, basketball, badminton, swimming, chess and more than 1,000 athletes participating in tug of war and running (nearly 100% students participated). This is also an opportunity for the school to discover, select and nurture talents among students, bringing them to many prestigious tournaments at all levels.
Phu Dong Sports Festival is truly a healthy and useful festival and playground for students. Thereby, it timely promotes and encourages the movement "Healthy to study, work, create and be happy", contributing to building Duc Tri School into a truly comprehensive educational environment for students. Immediately after the Phu Dong Sports Festival torch was lit, the teams competed in the tug of war event. Before that, within the framework of Phu Dong Sports Festival, some subjects also competed in the qualifying round. The final matches will take place continuously during the week and the closing ceremony and summary are expected to take place at the end of October.
In addition to annual sports tournaments, the school always pays attention to building a healthy physical education and sports movement among students through organizing sports clubs in the school. At the same time, it constantly invests in building and perfecting facilities to serve physical education and sports activities for students as well as teachers and staff in the school.
