In order to achieve the goals of the 2023-2024 school year with the theme: "Solidarity, discipline, innovation, successfully completing tasks and innovation goals, improving the quality of education and training", Duc Tri School regularly promotes training activities, improving professional qualifications and skills for the teaching staff. From the beginning of the school year, training sessions have been continuously held with the enthusiastic participation of all teachers and staff of the school. Most recently, teachers and staff participated in training on active teaching methods under the guidance of Dr. Tran Khanh Ngoc - Former Deputy Director of the Center for Research and Development of Pedagogical Profession – Hanoi National University of Education; Founder and instigator of the ACTIVE TEACHING PROGRAM – For a million inspiring teachers.
Active teaching method is a content that is being widely applied in many schools in Vietnam and internationally. In this method, teachers play an extremely important role, who are the ones who give suggestions to promote creativity, initiative, and positivity of students in each lesson. Accordingly, the requirements for teachers are also set higher in terms of professional qualifications, knowledge, courage and dedication to the profession. Grasping that trend, Duc Tri School constantly improves the quality of its staff through internal professional training sessions or with experts.
The training session with the theme: "Applying active teaching methods to develop students' capacity" took place in an exciting and enthusiastic atmosphere of teachers. Here, Dr. Tran Khanh Ngoc shared about the benefits of active teaching methods as well as ways for teachers to organize learning activities to form and develop students' capacity. In addition to sharing about the methods, good tips, practical examples of how to do it were also given by Dr. Tran Khanh Ngoc for teachers to visualize.
Profession stories and concerns about being a teacher were also answered by Dr. Tran Khanh Ngoc, bringing comfort to teachers and motivating them to continue their passion for the profession.
With the goal of fundamental and comprehensive education reform, each teacher must promote the spirit of self-study and improve professional qualifications. Schools need to take measures to improve the quality of the team. Accordingly, in order for the teaching staff to meet the requirements of the country's industrialization and modernization in the context of the explosion of science and technology and increasingly deep international integration, creating conditions for the teaching staff to participate in advanced training forms and enhancing exchanges, learning and research to apply new teaching methods is what schools need to promote in this context.
