History is not simply a subject, and it should not be a subject to memorize. That is why at Duc Tri, teachers always strive to bring students new learning experiences so that they love this subject that is always considered difficult.
For a long time, according to the traditional teaching method, teachers lecture, students take notes, and with history, students have to memorize facts and numbers to answer questions. However, this also unintentionally makes students feel afraid of this subject. History feels like a dry and scary subject.
In Duc Tri, with a competency-based education program, focusing on experiential learning methods, students always have the opportunity to practice in any subject, even those that are heavily theoretical like history. Through many learning methods such as historical dramatization, historical competitions, project-based lessons in class or experiences in historical spaces cleverly integrated into the extracurricular program, students can approach historical knowledge in a more proactive and interesting way.

Ong Vang Duc Tri in a study session at the museum

Memories of an unforgettable historical period of the nation along with the ideals and life principles of a young generation were recreated on stage by Ong Vang Duc Tri during the introduction of the work Dang Thuy Tram's Diary.
Through observing and experiencing historical sites with their own eyes, listening to the stories behind each artifact and location, students can live with history, think with history, and thereby naturally develop a love for this subject without being forced. Not only does it lead students to history through initiative, turning history lessons into vivid and memorable stories, but through changing the learning environment and space, it also makes students feel more comfortable, thereby making it easier to absorb knowledge.

Not only do you get to meet and exchange, listen to stories with tour guides at each location you visit, you also get to hear and learn about the events that took place here, and learn about the way our army and people fought at each location.

Changing the learning space not only helps students feel comfortable in learning lessons but also remembers knowledge longer when living with history.

Students make reports and write their feelings after each study trip. The combination of learning while playing and playing while learning helps students feel more interested in subjects that are considered difficult, such as history.
The generation of students and young people today have their own views, perspectives, and ways of thinking about life. Moreover, the development of science and technology and computer networks makes it easy for them to find information anywhere. Therefore, textbooks and lecture notes are no longer the optimal method for modern education. History itself is not a difficult and unattractive subject because it contains intrigue, grudges, and conflicts. Learn about history Not only does it help us meet our fathers, ancestors, and heroes who have contributed to building and defending the Fatherland, but it also nurtures national pride and love for the homeland for future generations of students. Therefore, innovating the method of teaching and learning history to make it attractive to help arouse and form in students a love for this subject is an important thing to form personality, patriotism, understanding, and awareness of national traditions for students.

History is not just a subject that teaches facts, it is a science that nurtures national pride and love for one's homeland.
